It’s Time for the anual TQ/Micro Sprint indoor midget race in Atlantic City NJ Jan 16th and 17th.  This will be the first time that i haven’t competed (or my car) in this event since 2004.  If you are local enough to attend come down to AC and support local auto racing. For a full race schedule go to www.aarn.com   Hope to see you there!!!

It is almost that time of year again for The Miller Motorsports Expo in Atlantic City NJ  Jan 16-18th.  For those of you that have never been to it Miller Motorsports takes up all of Atlantic city’s convention hall.  There are Race cars and parts vendors on display, celebrities from all forms (and era’s) of auto racing, collectibles, and not to mention the swimsuit competition for the Miss Motorsports competition.  Aside from the expo, Friday night the 16th and Saturday night the 17th there is indoor Micro Sprint/TQ Midget racing inside boardwalk hall. Micro Sprints and TQ’s are open wheel race cars using 600cc-750cc Street bike engines and they resemble a full size sprint car.

Let me tell you I love going to PRI it is like my Mecca!!  The only downside is tired feet. I spent three days in Orlando wandering up and down each isle checking out the latest and greatest performance parts on the market.  Walking the floor you get to meet all of the current dealer reps and hear all of the performance gossip, and l will just say there was an abundance of juicy gossip out there this year. 

We had a successful trip adding onto our already large list of direct suppliers.  CP Pistons, Weisco Pistons, and March performance were some of the larger new dealer accounts that we have added.

 I have also noticed that some of our larger competitors that have showcased there products at PRI for years are no longer showing up or have dramatically reduced the size or there displays.  Changes in the market maybe or they could just be struggling to hold on due to the current economy.   

 Anyway Promar is doing fine and will be here for many years yet to come.  We have put into motion plans for a new line of sport compact performance engines coming this spring.
